The Calma: the best entry-level model
The Relif Calma is our entry-level favorite for a good reason. For €799, you get a fully equipped massage chair with shiatsu, zero gravity, heat function in the back and waist, and an LCD touchscreen. The copper motor ensures quiet operation, which is nice if you use the chair in the evening.
The Calma massages from neck to feet and has 16 airbags distributed over the shoulders, arms, hips, calves, and feet. The chair needs at least 30 cm of space behind the backrest to fully recline.
The Calma is the right choice if:
- you are buying a massage chair for the first time
- your budget is around €800
- you are between 155 and 190 cm tall
- you value a quiet motor
The Hemelrust: the comfort specialist
The Relif Hemelrust adds several striking extras compared to the Calma. Most notable are the eye massage and the 24 foot rollers for extensive reflexology on the feet. The 3D massage heads automatically adjust the massage depth to your back.
The Hemelrust also has HiFi speakers with Bluetooth so you can listen to music or a podcast during the massage. Convenient: the chair has wheels so you can easily move it. When ordering, you receive free accessories worth €79.
The Hemelrust is the right choice if:
- you value foot reflexology massage
- you want to include eye relaxation in your massage routine
- you want to move the chair regularly
- you have a budget around €1,000
The Harmonie: the best choice for back pain
The Relif Harmonie is the only model in this comparison with a 135 cm 3D SL-rail. The SL-rail follows the full S-curve of the spine from neck to hips and then extends like an L under the thighs. This is the big difference from a standard S-rail: the lower back and upper leg are also actively massaged.
In addition, the Harmonie has an automatic body scan that adjusts the massage heads to your exact back length and shoulder width. With six automatic programs and 18 airbag groups, this is the most complete massage chair of the three.
The Harmonie needs at least 70 cm of space behind the backrest. The design is compact: 75 cm wide and 110 cm deep in an upright position.
The Harmonie is the right choice if:
- you suffer from back problems or lower back pain
- you want a full massage including the upper legs
- you are taller or heavier (up to 190 cm and 150 kg)
- you want the chair to automatically adapt to your body
Which one will you choose?
The choice depends on two questions: what is your budget and do you have specific back problems?
- Budget up to €800 and no specific complaints: choose the Calma
- Budget around €1,000 and you want extra attention for feet and eyes: choose the Hemelrust
- Back problems or you want the most complete massage: choose the Harmonie
